Mental Straight Jacket

...It's called FEAR.
I had a mental image the other day of myself wrapped so tightly in a white straight jacket with Christianity written all over it. What was that all about!!!?
Then I got to thinking, what is the straight jacket and why am I all bound up. The jacket is FEAR - fear of the unknown, fear of doing something wrong, fear of failure, fear of life itself, fear of taking a risk, fear of being alone, fear of breaking the rules.
I have let fear dictate my christian beliefs, desiring not to do anything 'wrong' and making choices to avoid the fear of doing wrong.
Can someone untie me - cause I am so done with this psych ward!

1 John 4:18-19

There is no fear in love, but perfect love drives out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and he who fears is not made perfect in love.
We love, because he first loved us.
